PHILOSOPHY OF CARE
No one part of the body exists alone and our comprehensive care recognizes this relationship between the mouth and the body. CDE holistic dental care is the natural process in which this occurs. However you need care, we will provide it. We will empower you, the patient, to take control of your dental health. You will learn what problems you have and be given the opportunities, techniques and tools to maintain your dental health for your lifetime. Dr. Prus believes the best way to achieve holistic, whole-body health is to maximize treatment effectiveness by:

The Purpose of this Website
The specific purpose of this website is to inform you of what is possible in the world of dentistry, clarify what your options are along with some guidance on relative costs, and show how the Center for Dental Excellence and Dr. Edward Prus can help to solve your dental problems and serve your needs.
Dr. Prus has been a long-time advocate of consumer interests and concerns in the field of dentistry. Dentistry and dental-speak does not flow off the tongue of most people. When spoken to, a patient may hear the words of their dentist but not understand them. That lack of understanding puts each consumer at a disadvantage in making important health decisions with regard to their mouth, then, by natural default, to their body.
Dr. Prus originated and published a column, The Dental Consumer, that ran for four years in numerous local newspapers in the Hudson Valley: Southern Dutchess News, Beacon Free Press and Northern Dutchess News, along with periodic entries in Hudson Valley Magazine notably Dr. Prus is presently the dental consultant in their 'ASK THE EXPERT' column, Hudson Valley Business Journal and the New York Times. The Dental Consumer column was created for the expressed purpose of guiding patients to make better decisions for their dental health.
In order for a patient to be able to make smart and correct decisions they need to learn > understand > interpret > decide > then act on their situation. That is not an easy task and Dr, Prus chose to make his website a tool to make it a little bit easier. It also allows you to see where CDE and Dr. Prus fit in the dental equation and how well he can satisfy your dental needs, from basic preventive procedures, aesthetic smile makeovers and other cosmetic services to full mouth reconstructive care. As Sy Sims, the well known clothier, would profess, “An informed consumer is out best customer”, so does Dr. Prus.
